My AC broke down and AAMCO was the only one who was able to take my car in right away. Shannon provided the best customer service ever!!! He dealt with my warranty company and he really went the extra mile to help me. And then he got my car done in time to continue my travels. Shannon is wonderful and I would take my care there anytime again. Thanks for everything Shannon!

Really friendly local service station. The manager Shannon was very helpful answering any questions and provided all the information I needed prior to servicing the vehicle. Once everything was finished he called me quickly, not leaving me waiting around while my vehicle was ready, and told me everything they found that I would want to know. He runs a great service station there, and I will absolutely continue to give them my business.

These guys are amazing! They solved the problem very quickly and were very honest and friendly. The level of prices and service is good and i think it’s the best place in Marin County. I will advise this place to all my friends and use their services in the future. 10 stars of 5! ❤

Shannon and these guys are a really good group of guys to work with. Got my transmission rebuilt by them and have nothing but good things to say. Anytime I need some assistance with my cars this is my go to shop!

Shannon was very helpful in scheduling the repair of my classic truck to a time when there was guaranteed space inside to garage it overnight. Shannon used his network to source used replacement parts and serviced and repainted them to make my classic truck look even better. The generous warranty is reassuring but the quality of workmanship was so good I never expect to have a problem.

I'm greatful to have somebody willing to work on my 36 year old Dodge Van. Marin is a bad place to try to keep an old van running due to the extremely high expense of doing business here, which has to be reflected in all shop rates. In my 23 years here I've had to go through a number of mechanics. The first shop I used in San Rafael after arriving in 2002, "John Irish Auto Plaza - Dodge and Jeep", abruptly closed in 2011, then Chris and Fred at "Firestone Car Care" took over until they retired aroun 2015 then "McGuness Mechanical's" worked on it until he sold it and the new owner announced he would not work on cars older than 1996, then for a all too brief time in 2020 "DNR Automotives" did some fantastic work on the EMS and electrical wiring, before they announce they would no longer work on old vehicles. Meanwhile, n Sept, 2017, Shannon at AAMCO had rebuilt our transmission under warranty that had been rebuilt the month before in Eugene Oregan but had failed within a few hundred miles. So I contacted him in 2020 when "DNR" refused to work on the van any longer, and found that they didn't just do transmissions, but the whole vehicle and was willing to work on my almost classic camper van. In the last 5 years we have dropped some $11,000 into the old girl getting it back up to scratch after years of poor maintenance as previous mechanics came and went. We have done some 27,000 mile in trips to Yukon and Alaska, accross the country and back, and locally with Shannon at AAMCO doing the work, and explaining all the options and possibilities clearly. Compared to the cost of buying a good used camper van with prices up in the $30,000 - $60,000 range (with new ones over $130,000) the money spent on our 1989 Dodge Roadrek Versatile 190 is well spent.
